Evernote Acquires Skitch, Goes FREE

Outed during a media conference in San Francisco earlier this morning, Evernote has today announced it will acquire popular screenshot-taking Skitch. For those not yet familiar with the app, Skitch is a popular piece of screenshot editing software, especially among bloggers.

Famed for it’s ease-of-use and ability to get the job done quickly, even in beta, Skitch became known as one of the best in it’s category. Starting today, as a result of the acquisition, Skitch for Mac has dropped in price from its original asking of $20 to become FREE for all.
